God Promises to Make This Temple to Be Blessed More Than Any Other Temple

The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the LORD of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the LORD of hosts. Haggai 2:9

Steps: 1, 2, 3, 11, 12

God knew how difficult it would be to rebuild His temple in Jerusalem. God sent many prophets to help and encourage His people to grow and to accomplish His holy will for them and for us. God sent Ezra, Nehemiah, Haggai, Zephaniah, Zechariah, and Malachi to help His people. God even sent the above simple prophecy to encourage His people because they were waiting for a display of power like in the blessing of the temple that Moses built, and the temple that Solomon built. Exodus 40:34-38; II Chronicles 7:1-4. But since the visible testimony of acceptance by God was not granted to the builders the spiritual testimony of acceptance was given by the prophets. This prophecy was not fulfilled until the coming of Jesus of Nazareth literally came into the temple and preached in it and performed His miracles of healing in this same temple hundreds of years later. When God promises He will fulfill it to the letter.

Prayer for Today: God, You have promised to accept us, to forgive us, and to heal us from all unrighteousness. I John 1:9. Help us to accept this promise simply because You have said it. Help us to trust in Your wonderful care. Bring our thinking into harmony with You as You did for our fathers in the past. Thank You Lord for Your love and patience.
