God Performs the Gospel in King Saul

And the Spirit of the LORD will come upon thee, and thou shalt prophesy with them, and shalt be turned into another man. And let it be, when these signs are come unto thee, that thou do as occasion serve thee; for God is with thee. And thou shalt go down before me to Gilgal; and, behold, I will come down unto thee, to offer burnt offerings, and to sacrifice sacrifices of peace offerings: seven days shalt thou tarry, till I come to thee, and shew thee what thou shalt do. And it was so, that when he had turned his back to go from Samuel, God gave him another heart: and all those signs came to pass that day. And when they came thither to the hill, behold, a company of prophets met him; and the Spirit of God came upon him, and he prophesied among them. I Samuel 10:6-10

Steps: 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12

God knows that Israel wants a tall, handsome, powerful, charismatic, leader to be their king. God chooses a man who best fits Israel’s desires. He then turns this man into another man. He assures him that God is with him. God will give this king another heart and that the Spirit of God will come upon him as is testified by the gift of prophecy. God will do everything He can to help this man be a spiritual leader to bless His people.

Prayer for Today: Thank You God that You do not turn on us even when we turn on You. We thank You that even when we ask for foolish things You try to make the best of it for our sakes. Help us to trust You, and to distrust ourselves. Please deliver us from us.
