Abel Still Speaks to Us Today

By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh. Hebrews 11:4

Abel’s death is used by God to speak to us today. Abel still talks to us because he is recorded in the Bible for our blessing. As we study how he cooperated with God, and how he suffered for his faith he still talks to us. Abel does not talk to us because he is alive in heaven but he talks to us because his story is written in the Bible. In Genesis 4:10 God tells us that Abel’s blood cries out to Him for justice. This same process is occurring today as well. No harm takes place, no suffering takes place without God noticing it and recording it. God will address each and every issue and in the end justice will be served to all who do not accept the sacrifice of God in their place. So let us study the lesson well and take advantage of God’s grace while it is still available.

Prayer for Today: Thank You God that You are aware of everything that happens on the earth. No crime takes place without Your awareness, and no crime will go unpunished in the end. Help us to trust You and that You will address each and every addict and give them opportunity to work the steps and accept recovery. Help us to stay steady and cooperate with You in all that You would have us to do. Thank You for Your mercies unto us.
