The Death of Joseph

And Joseph said unto his brethren, I die: and God will surely visit you, and bring you out of this land unto the land which he sware to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob. And Joseph took an oath of the children of Israel, saying, God will surely visit you, and ye shall carry up my bones from hence. So Joseph died, being an hundred and ten years old: and they embalmed him, and he was put in a coffin in Egypt. Genesis 50:24-26

Joseph has lived a good life, with many problems, but still good. Jacob has died, and now it is Joseph’s turn. He asks his brothers to take His bones with them when the Lord brings them out of Egypt as He promised to their father Abraham many years before. Genesis 15:13-18 God has promised to deliver Israel from Egypt and return them to the land He has promised. Joseph knows that everything God has promised that it will be done. No matter what happens, just like Joseph being sold as a slave, all things will work out for God’s people. Romans 8:28

Prayer for Today: We thank You God that You already know everything before it comes to pass. Help us to stay steady with You and to trust fully in Your plans for us. Thank You for Your watch care over us.
