Moses Talks to God

And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed. And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt. And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I. And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground. Moreover he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God. Exodus 3:2-6

Steps: 1, 2, 3, 11, 12

Moses meets the I Am, the God of his fathers Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. God met him in a burning bush to get Moses’ attention. Moses had heard about God but when he met with him it changed his life. God gave Moses instructions as to how to deliver God’s people from Egypt. Moses, after much discussion became ready to do the will of God.

Prayer for Today: God, today we want to have our own personal experience with You. We want to see as much of You as we can take, and we want the assurance that You will be with us to guide and keep us as You assign us our work in life. Help us to trust You and by experience believe in Your power and grace. Thank You for Your love for us.
